We have some great news to share!!
In alignment with our mission, Faedadal was approached by the Virginia Head Start Association (VAHSA) to submit a proposal to speak on “Putting Thought into Food Allergens” at their annual conference which is being held in Williamsburg, Virginia April 10 – 12th and our proposal was accepted!!
Head Start is a national child development program for children from birth to age five, which provides services to promote academic, social and emotional development for income-eligible families. Created in 1965, they are the most successful, longest-running, national school readiness program in the United States. Head Start is a child-centered, family focused, comprehensive and community-based program. They provide comprehensive education, health, nutrition, dental, mental health, social services and parent involvement opportunities to low-income children and their families. More than 21 million pre-school aged children have benefited from Head Start.
Do you know someone with a food allergy? Join us for our informative session on understanding the basics of this condition. We will discuss how to recognize, prevent and treat allergic reactions as well as provide helpful information on how to manage a food allergy at home, in the classroom or while dining out. Finally, we will share important information on how to work collaboratively with others to ensure a safe, inclusive environment. We are very excited about this opportunity to speak to Head Start staff, families and community supporters at this important event.
Faedadal’s mission is to be the most comprehensive resource for food allergen information to educate, advocate and align our communities with products and services that provide a better quality of life for people with food allergies. If you plan to attend, please be sure to connect with us while we are there.
